Working for PER

Our people are talented and diverse and our culture is friendly and approachable.

We encourage our team to look after their personal wellbeing and prioritise home and family life, using their holidays in full and keeping their evenings and weekends work-free unless it’s an emergency.

During the working day, we focus on success, prioritising our time and working together to achieve the best outcome. We have fantastic clients and a great variety of mandates to keep our people engaged and challenged.

We help our team grow with training, coaching and mentoring programmes. Our reward schemes are tailored to each person’s role and our profit share scheme is companywide. At our regular off-sites, the social element of coming together as a company is as important as the work.

Our social impact programme actively involves team members in giving their time and skills back to their communities.

"As a senior consultant with a young family, it’s important that I can manage my day as efficiently as possible to deliver successful searches to our clients.  PER gives me the flexibility to manage my work load and home life in a way that balances my personal needs whilst still delivering excellent service to our clients."

Debbie Eidelman, Senior Consultant

Roles at PER

We are always looking for experienced recruitment and search consultants to join our team.

Our consultants work in small teams. Some have a specialist focus, others a more general reach across the private equity sector.  We build long-lasting relationships and our views are widely sought on market issues or trends.  We have helped many people develop their careers and our consultants are a great sounding board for people who are looking to make their first move into alternative assets or take their next important career step.

“I joined PER as a Research Analyst, and with no prior finance or recruitment related experience, the learning curve was steep to say the least! However, from day one it’s clear that you’re surrounded by people with years of first-hand experience of how the industry works, so it really is the perfect learning environment. Having grown up and evolved with the business, to the point where I now lead my own team, I can safely say that our welcoming attitude remains the same, with the emphasis placed on training, personal development and helping people to achieve their ambitions. Alongside that, the candidates and clients that you get to deal with on a daily basis are bright, engaging and charismatic, which means each interaction is stimulating and keeps the job interesting. It’s a fantastic place to start your time in search and, given our focus on long-term relationships, a brilliant place to have a long and fulfilling career.”

We recruit people to join our research team in each of our offices, where they have the opportunity to learn about private equity as well as develop their research and recruitment skills.

Some of our researchers develop their careers as consultants, finding and winning new client opportunities for us, whilst others prefer to focus on building and managing great relationships with the people in our market as part of the research team.  Either way we can offer a career path that allows our people to develop their skills and experience and be rewarded with a stimulating job, a good work-life balance and progressive compensation.

"After joining PER, I was fortunate enough to join a specialised team much sooner than I expected to. This gave me the opportunity to develop my own style with the constant support of a highly accomplished management team. PER is a place where someone with drive and ambition can learn and grow in a highly supportive and friendly environment."

This role is intended for an undergraduate student wanting to spend a year in industry.

Working closely with our researchers and consultants, interns at PER are given a unique insight into the recruitment process and the private equity industry. Many have gone on to develop their careers as recruiters, inspired by the work they’ve done with us and the experience they’ve had.

“A placement with PER is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where you will be given a high level of responsibility that you wouldn’t get with many other companies. With a close-knit team and a social atmosphere it is a great place to get a taste of what it is like to work in a corporate office in Central London."

As a rapidly growing business, we regularly require exceptionally organised support staff to join our friendly team.

Behind the scenes there’s a hive of activity; our backstage people are often the first point of contact for everyone in our market. They really are the life-blood of our business enabling everyone else to perform.

So with roles from reception to marketing and everything in-between, we like to meet creative, diligent and passionate people who enjoy working in a collaborative environment with a great bunch of good-humoured colleagues.

"To be successful at PER you need passion and commitment, it helps you to do a good job here and makes you better at it, but more importantly you are rewarded well, including good pay, exciting team events, the occasional trip to the pub, but above all support by a great management team, I always feel valued by them.  Also, their support of my charitable moon walk was very humbling."
